Wes Montgomery was the best at this sound and this instrument (specifically). I hear his sound in Pat Methany, Jeff Lober , and some of George Benson. This album was a classic!
I spent many a day in the Temple University music library listening to West Montgomery and many other jazz icons with Temples state of the art headphones and turntables that I couldn’t afford to have at home. I was part of special program for high school students who got a taste of what it’s like to attend college.
