I heard Lambert Hendricks and Ross, and I though that was interesting. I heard Manhattan Transfer, and I thought there were some really cool things going on there. But I heard the Real Group, and then I loved vocal jazz forever.
Wow! Who the heck are these wonderful singers and musicians? As a Count Basie fan since the early 1970s, when I saw his band for the first time, this is a treasure. The music lives on, as well as the soloists. I come from Brooklyn, and yes the group does sound like they were influenced by Manhattan Transfer. But Manhattan Transfer never did this. Wow! Thanks for posting.
