With all that Javin Maillet said below in his post plus various guitar tunings played on 6,7,8 and even 9 string guitars, octave stacks, abrupt melody changes, seemingly impossible speed at times...... The best metal I listen to had to be acquired, like a fine whiskey on the rocks or even beer. Few people liked the taste of beer when they first tried it and now LOVE the stuff. The best muscians,, hand, hands down, come from heavy metal. Periphery is an exceedingly rare gathering of talent and chemistry, RARELY seen.
