Completely random series of events led me here centered around the fact I wrote the exact same line (“I was floating in a peaceful sea when I was rescued by a sinking ship”) in 2006-ish for one of my previous bands songs. I am by NO means whatsoever implying plagiarism or trying to be “that guy” - I only mention it because I actually think it’s pretty cool and I like how the line was implemented here in a different context than I myself intended/utilized it in my work. I look at songwriting (lyrics) almost like a puzzle to be pieced together and it was just neat to see the same pieces fit perfectly well in a different puzzle so to speak. I’ve never heard of these guys before but I’m a fan of well written lyrics above most everything else (given the context of this comment I want to clarify I’m not patting myself on the back when saying that) and will definitely be checking out more from these gents.
