Movies and songs were the best in the 70s and 80s. These days they’re mostly rubbish void of talent and originality. Wish I had a time machine. Internet and smartphones are the only good thing about the current era.
I was 6 in the back of my dads car driving down a dark unlit road, late at night.... the radio opened up another world to me in my dads car. Gordon Lightfoot is a voice in the soundtrack of my life.
Back in the 80’s, I was a junior in high school. I joined a choir for extra credit because I desperately needed it! Well, it was a choir of other desperate students and couldn’t damn one of us sing. We were given this song to work on. Christ! We butchered it! I remember thinking, “Damn, I’m flat as hell” as I cringed at the breath of the girl I was sharing music with. A couple of stoners looked like someone had stuck a hot poker up their asses and my choir teacher looked like he regretted his life at that moment.I didn’t tell anyone... but I actually liked this song from my childhood... but my god, we were awful!
