I heard this song for the first time when I was going to my high school grad night at Disneyland. I went with this girl I had fallen in love with sometime in the year...but the rest of her friends were there too. The whole night felt like I was battling for her attention, for a chance to make her laugh, even just a chance to be next to her. For once, I got to stand with her under the fireworks and she held my arm. After that...we never had a moment like that again. I had never felt a moment like that before, and it hurts me to know I just wasn’t quite good enough for it to turn into anything real. I just wasn’t enough. I guess I just wanna thank you, Crissi, for this song. I listened to it on repeat that whole bus ride home, and I cherish it to this day. It’s a nice reminder that you felt like you weren’t enough at one point, but things turned out okay for you and your husband. It gives me hope I may be enough for someone one day, too. So thanks again. I sincerely wish you all the best for your career and upcoming baby :)
70 years old and found a new song that makes me remember my youth. That is hard to do. Voice and melody is relaxing and haunting somehow. She is fresh and beautiful. Hope she does well.
