Close to 20 years ago, I had to transcribe the horn parts to play this with a bunch of old guys who were playing this stuff when it was new. It was a fantastic experience. I worked from a beat vinyl copy of CTA on a crappy turntable. Watching the horn players in this film, it seems I got it all right.
