I happened to be looking at the digital read out of the CD player’s time counter during this song and was astonished at what I saw! At the end of The Launch the counter stops the time and counts down 10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1 then flat lines! Dash lines all across the counter for a second then Cool the Engines starts and the counter returns to normal! Too Cool! Guess Tom put his MIT masters in engineering to use yet again for an added special touch! Never noticed this? Check it out! Very cool!
On the off chance you didn’t know this Tom Scholz is a genuine genius! In fact, he helped develop the Polaroid One Step Camera! Many years back there was an article about the Top 10 smartest people in Rock n Roll! Dennis DeYoung of Styx was 5 with 168! Don’t remember who was 4? Tom Scholz was 3! Thomas Dolby 2 and Neil Peart of Rush 1 with a staggering 189! Anyway, a friend of mine and I were listening to this CD when it first came out!
in my eyes brad delp , robert plant , paul rogers , ronnie james dio , ian gillan , chris robinson and all the other fantastic rock singers have brought pleasure and inspiration to millions of people all over the world . but , in my eyes and ears brad delp had the purest tone and...... god , he was just the BEST ! I remember seeing Boston at Jones Beach Theater, NY sometime around 2004. Awesome show!
